RALEIGH GUN CRIMESTOPPERS

The Raleigh Police Department and Raleigh CrimeStoppers are excited to announce the kick-off of the Raleigh Gun CrimeStoppers program! This program makes it possible for citizens to get cash rewards for turning someone in with an illegal firearm. The goal is to get weapons and criminals off the streets by reaching out to individuals who know someone with an illegal firearm.

Raleigh CrimeStoppers will pay cash rewards up to $200 for anonymous tips resulting in an arrest and confiscation of illegal firearms by the RPD. The process is easy, and most importantly, the callers are not asked to give their names; each caller will receive a code number to be eligible to collect a reward.

Giving a tip is simple--just call Raleigh CrimeStoppers at 919-834-HELP (4357) to report the illegal firearms possession. You will be asked to provide specific and detailed information about the location and description of the person in possession of the illegal firearm. You will not be asked to give your name; instead, you will be assigned a code number. Raleigh CrimeStoppers will relay the information about the illegal firearm possession to the RPD, which will act under its own procedures to immediately locate the suspect alleged to have an illegal firearm.

When the suspect is located and in possession of an illegal firearm, the person having first notified Raleigh CrimeStoppers will be paid a cash reward up to $200. RPD needs your help to make your neighborhood a safer place to live!
